The Orange Challenge

Lolita fashion encompasses an endless range of design influences, motifs, and colours. If you've got a good sense of style and coordination, there's almost nothing you can't incorporate in an outfit.

There is one colour, however, that remains taboo within the Lolita community. Lolis fear it, and brands avoid it like the plague. It is...

Orange! Our true nemesis!

Or so people seem to think. But really, is it so difficult to work a colour into a coordinate? Lolitas are creative and style-savvy folk, and that's why I'm giving you all this challenge:

Make orange work in a Lolita coord, and post the picture here.

You could use items in your wardrobe, or make a Polyvore collection, or even post a picture of a coord you've already worn (if you're particularly ahead of the times). You could even sketch a new dress design; the possibilities are endless.

So, show me what you've got, EGL!
