Koitsukihime in London, Juliette et Justine design competition and GLB illustration competition

Hi everyone!!! I come bearing exciting news!

I am organising the 1st Juliette et Justine brand party which will be hosted by UK group The Tea Party Club as part of our 5th year anniversary celebrations in London. This event will also be attended by the Gothic & Lolita Bible.

Mari Nakamura (head designer of Juliette et Justine) and Mariko Suzuki (editor of the Gothic & Lolita Bible) have a few words to say to everyone in thanks and have arranged some competitions that anyone can enter, whether you are going to the event or not!

Gokigenyou, all gothic & lolitas in world!

This is Mari Nakaura from Juliette et Justine (J&J) and Mariko Suzuki from Gothic & Lolita Bible (GLB).
Thank you very much for inviting us to your tea party in London.
We have four messages for you in token of our gratitude.

1)
We hope to give contest and prize for you and ALL GOTHIC & LOLITAS in WORLD.
Please check information from Kyra.

2)
Our friend KOITSUKIHIME is coming to join Saturday's party. KOITSUKIHIME is a Japanese doll artist. Her dolls are sooooo beautiful! You can meet dolls at the party. Japanese gothic & lolitas respect her very much. Movie supervision Tim Burton in London, too.

(Koitsukihime's dolls have sold for over Y3,000,000! Isobe-san from Baby the Stars Shine Bright bought one for that price.

Kisukihime also designed Baby's famous stained glass/seraphim print!)

3)
Our friend AKIRA TANAKA from Tony's Collection INC. joins Satuday and
Sunday's party. He is a make up artist. He presents Tony's Collection cosmetics to one where makeup is cleaned very much from the person who came to tea party of the day. (it is very expensive!!)

(I don't understand this bit - sorry! I think someone at the party will win his expensive, quality makeup. I'm thinking he'll either demonstrate on someone or present it to someone who's makeup he likes the best?)

4)
Now we are making many special clothes for this party. They are collaborations between J&J and the GLB, with Mariko's (Suzuki's) idea and Mari's (Nakamura's) design. It will be a surprise!

About Mari Nakamura. Mari Nakamura was Victorian Maiden's first designer and is now the president and designer of Juliette et Justine

About Mariko Suzuki:
Kera / Gothic & Lolita Bible editor in chief 1998-2003
Kera Maniax editor in chief 2003-2007
Now Gothic & Lolita Bible editor

Juliette et Justine and the Gothic & Lolita Bible will be hosting three competitions to say thank you. You can enter them all, even if you're not coming to the event!

1st) Illustration competition.
Please draw a picture on the theme 'gothic or lolita'. Three winners will win a prize from the GLB and also get their art featured in the next issue!

2nd) Clothing design competition. The best illustration of Lolita fashion will be made into an actual Juliette et Justine product! The design will also feature in the next GLB

3rd) Koitsukihime competition. Submit pictures of yourself dressed as a ‘Doll’. Koitukihime will choose the prettiest one and give the girl (or the boy) her photo book with her autograph.

The Tea Party Club will also be running a 4th competition which will be judged by us all on the day. Please send a photo of yourself in JetJ (large enough resolution to be printed on 4x6 photo paper please!). On the day I will pass an envelope of everyone's photos around with a pen. Everyone will make a tally mark on their favourite photo and the one with the most votes will win a prize

Please submit your entries to teapartyclub@ymail.com before the 31st August. Entries will be judged in Japan but announced at the party. I will be displaying the entries here (https://www.facebook.com/events/246701262106339/) and on the blog (teapartyclub.blog.com)as I get them too so everyone can see!

I will need:

Name
Age
Country
Address
Email Address

Also, if you want to thank Juliette et Justine for their beautiful clothes or express your love for their brand please contribute to either (or both!!!) our DVD or photo book that we will be presenting on the day!

Juliette et Justine fan book
Submissions wanted
Deadline
September 5th

Hello everyone,
We wanted to offer you all a chance, whether attending or not, to contribute content to a fan book to present to Mari Nakamura and the Juliette et Justine team at the event on Saturday. It will be a lovely way to show our appreciation for their contribution to Lolita fashion and for coming all the way to the UK and attending their first tea party.

The main goal is to receive as much as possible digitally (either scanned or computer created) so that we can print it off and add it in to the scrap book before the day. The book will also be around on the Saturday for people to sign and leave messages.

If you desperately want to bring something traditional please make sure it is no bigger than A4 and not too bulky so it will fit. Also, please still send me a scanned version so I can bookmark you a space!

Even if you were unable to get a ticket to attend hopefully this gives everyone a chance to give something back to some one you admire and share your appreciation.

Submissions:

So what are we looking for…

1)Art work Become inspired by the brand Juliette et Justine, it doesn’t just have to be a drawing of girls/boys wearing their clothes (though that is great too!), look at their designs and see where your imagination takes you, be as artsy as you like… but please keep it PG.

When sending digital or scanned-in, traditional pieces please make them 300dpi and remember they will be going in an A4 sized book.

2)Photo Cords: A great way of showing Mari Nakamura and her team that you appreciate their work would be a lovely photo of you wearing their designs. (Obviously no replicas please!)

3)Photo messages: Although preferably wearing JetJ, all Lolitas are welcome. We completely understand that not every one owns pieces by the brand but that you still enjoy and love their designs. All you need to do is get someone to take a photo of you or maybe your local Lolita group holding a banner, or a piece of card with a visible welcome message or a thank you message to Mari Nakamura or to Juliette et Justine. Get creative with the designs break out the glitter, paint and stencils.

4) Letters, messages, poems As well as signing and leaving little messages on the day (think year book length) I would also love for people to write letters to Mari and JetJ. Either submit them as a scan of the letter (you can bring the original on the day to stick in if you wish) or a word document (you can always sign next to it on the day!).

Again the deadline for entries will be the 5th of September

Please send submission to jetjsubmissions@gmail.com

Thank you
