1) How did you begin lolita?
2) Did you buy brand right away or did you start with replicas, bodyline, etc.?
1) I began lolita out of curiosity. In my city I found a Lolita group because my friend at the time was having a meetup at her house. Even though we weren't both into lolita we thought it kind of fit in with the whole anime group.
It did but turns out it's just lolita.
For this meetup I bought a "lolita" dress, I looked online because I didn't know much about lolita at all. I found a dress I liked off ebay and it turns out it is a replica of a gingham angelic pretty dress.
I didn't know that at the time but now I know. I bought knee high socks to and a headbow. The dress came with a petti, so I fit most of the criteria even though I was ITA.
Eventually we had a convention here in the city and I met my best friend, who is huge into brand and lolita.
Turns out years ago I had been interested in lolita and never knew it. I had followed btssb and angelic pretty in the past. Lots of the other sites were not accessible at the time 5-6 years ago when I first started buying GLB.
2) Once I found out my dress was a replica and I don't really like taking other peoples work for granted I bought only brand. I bought Chess Chocolate. That was my first brand and I have been buying angelic pretty dresses ever since. :)
