I attempted to bid on an item from Mbok through Celga. I made the request with 16 hours left on the auction, and received confirmation from Celga. The item ended, but luckily renewed for another 6 days. On the last day I contacted celga and asked if there was something wrong. They said they liked to wait to bid on items 5 hours before they ended
The auction ended again, and while it did renew again, I requested a refund on my deposit from celga. I mean really? The item ended twice, with no action from Celga at all.
What's going on Celga?
Does anyone know of another shopping service that will bid on items from mbok?
Email from Celga
It has come to our knowledge that you had negative feedback about Celga: http://egl.livejournal.com/18575434.html
Please be informed that we did place your bid hours before the auction ended but the seller just really did not want to deal with deputy service. We bid hours before the auctions end (5 hours "the latest) but usually 15-20 hours before. It was actually relisted because they did not want our bid the first time so we even used another ID. We do our best to be of good service to you and we feel that it was not fair to receive such feedback even if we did our part. Please understand that we do not always have control over some sellers. Some just do not want to entertain foreign customers due to conservative culture.
We hope that everything is clearer to you and remove your negative feedback as it will affect Celga negatively.
Thank you and we are really hoping for your understanding.
After receiving this email, my response was basically, that they should have just let me know.
I do feel bad if it effects their business, especially given the state of the economy.
But it's also not fair for customers to be left in the dark.
Like I commented below, in a previous transaction with Celga, I had a seller reject bids from Celga, but they had let me know about it. So it was no big deal.
But without a reason for a transaction failing, it leaves a lot of speculation.
I also updated the negative review here about celga to include a reason saying "lack of communication."
