Review: Innocent World

Hello everyone

I'll be reviewing a rather famous classic lolita brand and the one that seems
to have the most overseas orders, Innocent World.
I myself love their simple, elegant pieces.
I will give a detailed overview of the clothing articles so it may be of use
to lolitas that might be considering ordering from them.
One thing important to note that might be slightly offtopic but rather relevant is
that ALL most(?) of Innocent World's clothing can be handwashed in cold water without problems
and this is confirmed by one of Innocent World's workers via email somewhat
however, i will ask again for confirmation on specific fabrics,
BUT i would always make sure and double check before washing.
It has been pointed out that pearskin-like fabric should be dry cleaned.

Innocent World i believe only accept payments by PayPal and shipping by EMS.
All clothing articles come in individual sealed plastic bags with tags.
And when necessary, with padding/bubblewrap of fragile items such as headbands.
Also i believe they pack things in so theyre not too lose in the box to prevent possible damage
that is, if it is mailed in a box otherwise, thick bags which of course are of orders that exclude fragile items.
There is also a 'personal letter' to every order as a thank you.
On another note, like most things online, photos don't represent the actual color, style, etc. so keep that in
mind when looking through their online catalog.
Yes, they try their best to take photos representing the actual clothing article, but many factors
can contribute to the actual clothing looking different to the one in the photos.
I apologize in advance my crappy photography skills and poor psi images.
so... at last, my review:

Box/Packaging
pl

Headband
hb
Scallop Lace Ribbon Head Bow-
Its inside a plastic bag wrapped with bubble wrap, so it has some protection even though the items inside the box is packed quite
sturdy. All items came in a plastic bag like the one pictured above in photo 2.
The bow is sturdy on the band, so it doesnt move at all.
The band itself is made with very bendy-like plastic, not like most regular stiff plastic headbands at regular stores, so it breaks less easily.

Corset With Bones (Brown M)-
Most of Innocent World's clothing have waist adjustments to them, which are shirring and/or adjusting with ribbon/string.
The back of this 'corset' has both shirring/ribbon.
It has flexible plastic (i think) as 'boning' to it, so it somewhat holds a corset shape.
This is simply for the look of a corset.

IMG00531
Millefeuille Tulle Lace Bolero (Bordeaux/Beige M)-
The lace is beautifully intricate and soft.
The color is a very nice maroon.

IMG00542
Princess Sleeve Bolero (Beige M)-
The 'beige' is quite a deep/dark beige than i initially thought judging from the photos posted on the website.
In this photo, the color also comes out lighter than it is in real life.
Im still happy with it.
The lace on the sleeves will be rather concerning because it can easily rip when caught on something since
its very long and flow-y.

IMG00543
Rose Cameo Pearskin Blouse (Beige S)-
The beige color of the blouse is way lighter than the bolero, it is the color beige that i thought the bolero will be;
a subtle beige color.
The cameo has a pin on the back and it goes through the fabric which is also a bit concerning...
The back has adjustable waist straps that can be tied.
Most if not all IW blouses have this feature.

IMG00541
Bertille Rose Jumperskirt (Pink Short)-
The pink color is actually not very pink like in the stock photos, but more of a 'dirty pink', more toned down.
It has a lot of details to it.
The 'dickey' is removable.
The back has shirring.
The straps of the dress can be either straight or changed to make an X.
Most if not all IW jumperskirts have all of these features.

IMG00536
Vanessa Jacket (Black M)-
To make a better fit the back has a ribbon that adjusts how tight the torso is.
End of the sleeves has bows.
Inner jacket lined with a silky fabric.
4/6 of the front buttons are actually functional.
Will keep warm on rainy/cold days but not intense cold.
Bought the matching skirt as well.
Its as 'plain' as the jacket, but it does have lace as minor details as does the jacket.
Has shirring/ribbon in the back to adjust the skirts waist.

From upper left to right: Diamond Lace Embossed Print Crew Socks (Black), W Lace Short Socks with Ribbons (Beige),
Noble Rose Embossed OTK Socks (Black), Twinkle Rose Embossed OTK Socks (Beige/Pink), Bertille Rose OTK Socks
(Bordeaux/Pink), Garden Rose OTK Socks (Sax), Cosette Rose OTK Socks (Beige/Cafe au Lait)-
The band/spandex at the socks opening is strong so the socks will not slip down your legs while walking/moving.
The socks are a bit thicker than regular socks.
The embossed designs on some of them are very cool, you can somewhat see them in this photo.

Quality (5/5): Arrived in excellent looking quality.
Seems long lasting.

Different fabric textures and wonderful looking/feeling lace.
Communication (5/5): Responds to emails ASAP and with great detail/concern.
Pricing (5/5): The price is expensive but in terms of lolita clothes reasonable and worth every penny.
Shipping (5/5): No customs fee. I live in the US and so far never delt with one ordering from Innocent World.
Shipping isn't too expensive; reasonable.
Packaging (5/5): Awesome packaging and care.

In short, i would definitely recommend Innocent World to any lolita, esp. the ones into the classic and gothic subtype.

Thanks for Reading. :)
