I noticed there were no reviews of this pair of shoes when I wanted to buy them. They're bodyline's 'shoes258' from the punk section. I don't usually write reviews, hence the shortness!
Packaging - I forgot to take photos of the packaging, I chose the £5 airmail option, the shoes took around 3 weeks to arrive and arrived wrapped in tissue with a cardboard rod thing, to keep the shoes from getting squished too much. I believe this kind of packaging is pretty standard for bodyline shoes.
Now, on to the shoes!
I chose the non-patent black version, in size 24.5. I'm a UK 5 and they fit great! The toes are nice and spacious so I can wiggle my toes * u *
Side view of the shoe. The platforms at the front are 5cms tall, they extend slightly beyond the toe, and have a curve to them similar to rocking horse shoes, so they're easy to walk in. The heel is 11.5cm at the tallest point.
The two ankle straps have this type of fastening (I'm not sure what its called), I would have personally preferred another button, as the first lower strap has a button, but it seems to work well, I've been walking around in them for a while and they have't come undone yet.
The three descending straps after the button are all elasticated, so you don't have to fiddle around with them, they can be adjusted but I don't think they're meant to be. I tried adjusting one and it was ridiculously tight! The camera flash made the interior of the shoes seem a lot brighter than it it, it's more of a wine red in real life!
Detail of the sole, it's rubberised and relatively grippy.
One small fault I found on the heel, presumably caused by shipping.
Worn photos, excuse my leggings and comfy socks!
Quality - 4/5, I found no major issues with quality, other than the small fault on the heel.
Shipping - 3/5, Not the worst, but not the best either, a shoe box would have been nice.
Construction - 5/5, The shoes are very sturdy.
Value for money - 5/5
Comfort - 4/5, comfier than any other pair of heels I own!
Overall - 4/5
Thank you for taking the time to read this review, I hope it will be of some help to people!
