Feeling too "large" in lolita clothes

I have a rather odd preoccupation that prevents me from enjoying lolita to the fullest, and am curious if anyone else experiences this and/or has advice for how to overcome it.

I cannot wear a fluffy petticoat or carry a parasol when in public without being overwhelmed by shame for taking up too much space. I feel that I'm unfairly denying people their right to move about as they please because of the size of my clothes. I am also constantly worried that I will hit someone with my parasol or brush against them with my petticoat, and that they will get angry because of it. For the record, I don't live in an extremely crowded place, so there is no common ettiquette which mandates that people occupy as little space as possible, but for some reason I feel like a terrible person unless I do so. A large part of this is due to the fact that I feel like I constantly get in people's way (they bump into me or have to change direction to avoid me), even though I am mindful of others and try to allow them space, and wearing clothes with a large silhouette only makes it worse.
