Is lolita .. "in" ..?

I have only gotten into lolita lately (it was sort of a childhood dream, but I am new to the community), and I have only seem them at cons and have gone to one meetup, in which there were 3 other people, and I dress in lolita every day and have never seen another lolita..

But it seems like there are a LOT more lolita posts in forums like /cgl/ where a lolita thread was something really rare and hard to come by and was pretty much just a few photos and people saying "why would anyone dress this way". It seems like a lot of the kids that used to be "scene" are going into the Japanese styles, and it seems like it's getting to be popular. I wasn't sure of it's popularity until, through flipping through the tv, I saw THIS



On teen nick... It appears to be sort of lolita inspired.

So is lolita becoming a mainstream thing, marketed at teens?
Or are my lolita tinted glasses causing me to see these things, when in reality, she was probably just in a prom dress?
EDIT: I don't mean for this all to be about this one character on this one show +_+


Is anyone else catching lolita influences in television, or fashion shows, at the mall?
