Twinkle Mermaid tattoo-ised

I was a lolita for years, and although I've moved away from the style now, I always knew that I wanted to get a Twinkle Mermaid-inspired half-sleeve tattoo as a tribute to lolita (and because I really love mermaids). I've been working on this for just about the last year, and it's finally finished, so I thought I'd share it with you all as an example of a super-loli tattoo.

It's still a tiny bit peel-y in some patches, sorry, I was too excited to wait any longer to share. You might be able to tell by looking closely - the art has been simplified down from Imai Kira's original print (no bows or bow-bras on the mermaids, etc). For tattooing it's important not to have too much fine detail that'll blur out over time, plus I wanted it to be a little more streamlined and not too floofy. Done by Dan at Tattoo New Zealand, Mana, Wellington. He is awesome, especially for humouring my excessively girly taste :D
