Anime Boston Fashion Show: The Frill That Never Dies
Anime Boston Fashion Show!
Hello egl,
Some of the Boston lolitas are putting together the Anime Boston lolita panel for the fifth year in a row and it is going to be AWESOME. Right now, Lolita Fashion: Style for the Frilly Masses is going to be held on Saturday, April 7th, at 10 a.m. in Ballroom A.
Now, if you plan to come and are coming in lolita, we may have a golden opportunity for you to strut your stuff. That's right, the fashion show. If you'd like to be in the fashion show, please send me an e-mail (madeleinestarr16 at gmail dot com) saying who you are, what style you'd like to model for, and a picture of the coordinate you'd like to wear. Please try and submit MULTIPLE coordinates for one style or, even better, several coordinates of several styles. The more the better--we often have a lot of one category (usually sweets) so submitting multiple categories or sub-categories is a big help. If you submit more than one coordinate and have a preference as to which you'd like to wear, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you but everything depends on what coordinates get submitted.
Now, we are lovely people and respect and applaud everyone's right to wear lolita the way they want to and to express him/herself in her/his own personal way using lolita clothes. That's cool. For the panel, though, we have to stick to the basic rules, as it is an introduction to lolita for most of people there (usually there are 700+ people at the panel...). So, please be willing to work with us (i.e. through feedback) to try and make your coordinate a top notch representation of that particular style. Also, if we don't choose your coordinate it isn't because we hate you, in fact we probably love you but had too many entries or had a coordinate that we voted to be the best for that style or whatever. Don't despair. Still come and see us and hopefully win free stuff (we are having a raffle again this year). :D
Also, if you have anything you'd like to donate to the raffle please e-mail me.
Here is the information I'd like you to include in your e-mail:
Name:
Picture 1 substyle:
Picture 1 brief description of the origin of the clothes (brand name(s), self-made, commissioned by, bought at, etc.):
Picture 2 substyle:
Picture 2 brief description of the origin of the clothes (brand name(s), self-made, commissioned by, bought at, etc.):

SEND ME YOUR PICTURESSSSSSSSSSSS! <3 (madeleinestarr16 at gmail dot com)
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: THURSDAY, MARCH 15TH, 2012
(We may still consider submissions after this but we would like to get the fashion show mostly planned by that date.)
Also, as of right now we were not planning on doing another swap meet or planning a meetup (with just the two of us planning it and both of us having full-time jobs and lives and art and bands and such it is a bit much) unless there is huge popular demand and no one else is willing to plan these. We encourage others to plan AB events too! Hint hint!
