General Theme Post: An old hat turned into a bonnet

Hi girls,
so seeing the new theme is Upcycling, I'd gathered the courage to show you my little bonnet project. I hope you enjoy!

So, here is the hat as it used to look before I... ahem, stole it from mum:


And here is the bonnet, almost finished I think (I may add some lace yet):
