Nicer fabrics in lolita

I know that they're less common now, and mostly rule the gothic and maybe classic styles, but what do you think of non-cotton fabrics in lolita? Good quality velvets, brocade, and satin like brands use every so often.

Also, as at long term lolita or a well researched one,  can you tell me what other sort of fabrics are useable in a classic lolita coord?


I know it's not officially a lolita pattern, but with a different skirt it could be cute.
the gloves are the colors I'm coordinating it with.
