Lolita in your life.

Maybe it's because I've been through so much in my life, maybe it's because I'm a bit older than most here, or maybe it's a curse, but keeping lolita in my life just feels like I'm dragging it in there. I mean i love it.  I find the fashion amazing and i feel so empowered wearing the clothes and accessories, but how can i bring it into my life more? I find myself intimidated by the idea of going out in full frill by myself, but also one of the things i loved about lolita from the start was wearing it with other people. It would be amazing to be able to wear lolita everyday, but this isn't Tokyo, and it's incredibly difficult. People look down on you, or it draws negative attention, it's not professional, it's not condusive to majority of work environments, it's difficult to travel in it, and so on. I guess I'm stating the obvious, but I really wanted to learn from others how lolita works it's way into everyone's lives. I see people who wear it all the time, and i feel a bit of envy of those who can do that in their lives and it makes me wonder how they manage it.

Discuss;

♦ How you bring lolita into your life ♦
♦ How often you wear it ♦
♦How old(ish) are you ♦
♦ What you do (job) ♦
♦ What kind of environment you live in (rural, urban, suburban) ♦
♦ How it makes you feel. ♦

edit:
Holy crap lots of responses. I predicted a page at max. I promise to eventually read everything everyone has to say ;o;

thank you so much for your motivational responses. It's really meaningful.

Here's my reply:
♦ How you bring lolita into your life ♦
Besides wearing it as much as possible, i accessorize the crap out of everything. Multiple cell phone charms, multiple cell phone cases, sticker whore everything, bringing lolita and articles into non lolita and professional outfts, tumblr, magazines, window shopping brand websites....

♦ How often you wear it ♦
once a week to once every three weeks. Not enough at all.

♦How old(ish) are you ♦
27

♦ What you do (job) ♦
Medical director

♦ What kind of environment you live in (rural, urban, suburban) ♦
urban to suburban.

♦ How it makes you feel. ♦
Godly. I adore lolita, J-fashion has always had my heart so i don't ultimately feel exclusively lolita, i remember my decora admiration days and although i never did decora i had enough hair clips to fill three heads. Socks Socks Socks, i leaned my way towards lolita by buying socks and eventually i had the money to buy some lolita. Bam. Addict. I feel so good looking like a princess. I feel so feminine and attractive. I feel sexy, not in a prostitute or child porn star kind of way, but in an ego boosting motivational way. I feel like royalty and that i can express my wild emotions at the fullest. So i don't plan to ever truley give up lolita, though i promised myself the day i become a parent is the day i tone it down, I've got a long time before that.
