Katamari Sweets Kingdom by Vitae clothing review!
I Pre-ordered a OP dress set in 'marshmallow' colour-way, being a pink x lavender colour actually. I put in my pre-order on the 21st September, and was later told I was the first person to have their dress made!
The dress took roughly a week and a half to get to me from Australia, which was very quick for this time of year!
Onto some pics, sorry about the poor quality, we are a camera-less household right now, so these are mobile phone pictures.

The front of the dress, with headbow, wristcuffs and waist ties.

And the back!

Print detail- the main reason I bought this dress. I'm a huge Katamari fan and couldn't resist a print like this! The print is amazing quality, the colours are bright and vibrant, no smudging that I can see at all. The dress also has a cute little ice cream button on the neckline which I adore, and has blue star buttons for the waist ties. The print looks so cute and yummy!

Wristcuffs- I splashed out a bit extra and got all-lace wristcuffs. I'm not a wristcuff person, but I do like these :) They match the dress perfectly of course, and have adorable little swiss-roll cake charms! The lace is soft and delicate, I'm glad I paid extra for these.
However, when I tried on the dress I had a few problems. The dress itself fit my measurements, being a plus-sized girl I was worried that it wouldn't, but I had no problems at all with the fit. My problems were centered around the sleeves of the dress, I took a picture of the sleeve on the side of the zipper-

As you can see, the sleeve cuff is not separate at all from the zipper, so when the zipper is pulled down, the sleeve is pulled apart too. This wasn't so much of a problem when it was down, but when I pulled it up I had problems.
First off, the gap between sleeve and zip was enough to expose my bra a lot! I tried to pull it into place, but my bra was always exposed :(
Another major problem I had was the fact that the sleeves were painful. I couldn't move my arms without them hurting. The sleeves kind of pined my arms to my sides, so I couldn't move them up at all, when I did to remove the dress they left big red marks! I couldn't wear this dress for more than 5 minutes, I was really disappointed.
I'm not sure if this is an issue due to the dress, or if it's due to my size. I'm not overtly plus sized, I checked my measurements against the recommended size, and I fit into it fine.
However I won't dwell on negatives, the rest of the dress fits beautifully. the skirt is just above knee length for me, and I'm 5"6 high.

The skirt has two layers, one with the scallops and print and one with the frill. The whole dress is lined, and the stitching is amazing, better quality than most of my brand dresses! The dress has good weight too it as well, it's by no-means a flimsy piece of cloth that will blow up in the wind!
It fits a good size petticoat, and a good petti is needed to show off the beautiful print.
So, a summary of the review!
Price- $404- 4/10- More than I would normally pay for a Lolita dress, but well worth the quality, custom designed fabric, and overall work put into the dress. *EDIT* After another look and a chat with my Mother, I pretty much agreed that it wasn't really worth the price I paid. She pointed out that it was a lot of money to spend on a dress that I have to get altered and compared it to my brand items. After my initial excitement, I think she's right unfortunately.
Shipping- Standard airmail, I think. 9/10- Arrived a lot quicker than I thought! My only niggle was that the full price of the dress was put on the shipping form, which I know is the law, but customs for a dress this expensive would have been Horrific if I had been hit, which I thankfully wasn't.
Print quality- 10/10- Can't get better, I adore the print so much!
Dress quality- 5/10- The dress stitches are perfect, however I can't wear the dress in it's current form, I'm still trying to think what to do with it. But that IS only the sleeves, the rest of the dress is very well made.
Accessories- 9/10- The headbow, waist ties and wrist cuffs are great, my only annoyance is that the bow is a little oddly shaped in places, but I don't mind.
Overall- 6/10- Super dress, I really do adore it, but I'm so sad to be unable to wear it right now due to the sleeve issues. I will probably attempt to get it altered. It wasn't really worth the money I paid, I'm afraid. I may be in contact with the seller to see if I can swap for the JSK version.
My advice if you're interested in this dress, go for it! But get the JSK or skirt version!
Thanks for reading! And Happy Holidays all!
