I ordered 6 items: A blouse and 2 dresses from one company, and 2 dresses and a coat each from different companies on Taobao. My order was accepted and I paid.
I get an email from him saying 3 items are not available. These items are the blouse and 2 dresses which happen to be from White Moon. He says he will refund me for these items.
I look on my order online and he's still charging me 3 dollars for each of the unavailable items for shipping. I asked him about this and he says he's keeping it as a 'service fee' for talking to the seller, paying, finding them unavailable, then getting my money back. I wouldn't care but here's the thing: He already charges 15% service fee on the price of the items. This fee is FOR what he just said the kept shipping charges are for. Since I just want my items that ARE available, I go ahead and let this slide.
Because of the 3 dollar shipping charges on unavailable items, my refunded money is 10 dollars miscalculated. He owes me about 131 USD....but he says he can only pay it back to me once he ships my items? He says it is so the shipping is precise and he can refund me the correct amount. I suppose it makes sense but shouldn't he know what shipping will cost if he runs a business like this? I tell him it's okay to do.
A dress and the coat are finished and sent to him. This happens about 2 weeks after I order, which is great. Only then it was 3 weeks, then a month and still the last dress isn't finished. Apparently HMHM takes a dickyear to complete things. Here's what made me a little mad at them. After a month during which I assumed they were making my dress, they finally emailed my agent to ask to confirm my measurements because they were (and I directly translate) "strange". I know you don't start sewing something if you're not sure of the size; that's not really how sewing works. Now I feel bad because my agent is waiting on that dress!
HMHM tells my agent the dress will be done and he will have it in 5 days. After 5 days I contact him and they've told him 4 more days. We are now on day 3 of those last 4 days. The problem with that is that today is my last day to open a Paypal dispute. I did so because I am not losing 131 USD if my agent suddenly decides not to ship or not to refund me.
I warned my agent in advance that I was going to do this so I could make sure he refunded me. He said this was fine.
In the resolution center he does this shady thing where he wants me to close the dispute as soon as he receives the last dress. The whole reason for the dispute is to make sure he ships it and I have my refund, which I told him about. So I'm obviously not closing it until he refunds me and proves he shipped it.
Suddenly?! He is contacting my Paypal email instead of the one I used to sign up for his site. Not only that, but he copied and pasted the emails we've been sending back and forth. That's fine, but WHO ON EARTH IS EMMA AND WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER COAT ORDER?
Yeah, he pasted part of an email to someone named Emma, at email@example.com. So Miss Emma, if you're on EGL and have parts of my email copied and pasted to you, I'm honeybunchan@youprobablyalsoknowmyemailn
The other lovely thing? 2 of those 3 unavailable items I ordered from Qutieland. They have confirmed their stock and they ARE available, and White Moon is making them for me. Is my agent then, lying to me about them? Why on Earth would you do that? I fail to glean any sense from this ordeal.

-He is still charging 3 dollars each for shipping on those unavailable items as a service fee, which he already charges in the form of a 15% fee calculated by item cost.
-He won't refund them until he ships my remaining items
-He accidentally forwarded me an email from another customer with her email address and their private conversation in it.
-He wants me to close my Paypal dispute with him before he ships them and refunds me
-lol wut? I have successfully ordered 2 of the 3 (didn't have enough money for the 3rd) supposedly 'unavailable' items from a different site.
Has anyone had trouble with this shopping service before? I don't think this service is that popular, but I did see it in a post listing shops and services for taobao on here and it had a good review.
If there's any confusion, I put no blame on him for HMHM's delay. In fact I think it's rather unfortunate for both of us since I had to open a dispute because of their sluggishness. If HMHM was on time with the order, I may well have already been refunded and possibly had my items by now!
I'm gonna go play Skryim and try to ignore this is happening. Ugh.
UPDATE: HMHM sent him the dress on the 3rd and he received it on the 4th. Wondering why he didn't message me in the resolution center through Paypal, I checked my email. Apparently, HMHM made it the incorrect color. Excuse my language, but that's just fucking lovely. It was supposed to be pumpkin, but they made it pink.
I told my Taobao Agent he should have them remake the dress in the correct color and that if they can't, he should refund me. He then told me he'll ship my first 2 items to me now, then get the remade dress and ship it to me for free. Suddenly he messages me again and says he's also refunding me for the dress. I asked him if he's refunding me because HMHM can't make the correct color, and all he says is that 'Yes I am refunding you.' instead of actually answering.
At this point, I don't care. If I at least get those two items and my refund, I'll finally be able to put this behind me. He still wants me to close the dispute because of something about frozen funds and he can't refund me unless I do? I asked PayPal what this meant and they replied back with a crappy pasted message that basically said "It's a dispute so it's your problem not ours. Here are the dispute rules, and OMG did you know you can connect PayPal to your mobile phone?! Kbai see youuuu~!" only in about 5 more paragraphs and written in business bullshit. XD
I asked my Agent if he had a bank account connected to his PayPal because it would use that money if he didn't have enough of a PayPal balance to refund. I haven't gotten a reply yet, and the tracking number for my shipment of 2/6 items isn't yet working....hopefully it will tho.
