Cutedeer Faux Fur Fawn Collar Review!
Hello! Recently I commissioned a faux fur fawn collar from lj user
cutedeer from this post in the sales community. I believe this was the second out of many rounds of commissions she has offered.
Like a lot of girls, I find this deer trend adorable, and so I signed up for a collar as soon as I saw the post.
Communication:
9/10
The seller responded quickly to me. The prices were stated clearly in the sales post. In order to easily keep track of around 10 different commissions, the status of the collars was recorded in the original sales post. After the collars were shipped, the tracking number was provided on the sales post as well. I would have appreciated a comment or PM notifying me that it was shipped, but since I carefully read the sales post I knew to keep checking there for updates. So no real complaints ^^
Quality:
10/10
The collar is sewn very well. I see no problems there. It took the seller two weeks after purchase to make and ship the collar. I think the time was well used. There are no defects that I can find. The fur is not perfect quality, but it is certainly not bad. The fallout of the fibers is very little, and the only fallout I've seen is from me rubbing the collar VERY HARD. It doesn't seem like it will molt or anything on it's own.
The other deer collars I have seen have a much more "plush" looking consistency. Because I have pretty wide shoulders and lean more towards classical lolita, I like that the fur is more realistic looking than stuffed animal looking. As you can see in my pictures, the fur stands up a little strangely around the inside of the collar. This does not bother me when the collar is worn. I imagine you could try to iron the fibers into place, but I don't want to take the chance of melting the fibers.
Would I buy more handmade products from
cutedeer in the future?
Yes!
The price and quality were very nice. I did not feel that the price was overly inflated at all. She also seems very professional in her packing and product presentation. It seems she is running low/out of the deer fur, but I trust her craftsmanship and would be willing to buy other products.
I would also like to note that I specifically requested a white ribbon instead of the brown one the seller originally pictured. She suggested ivory would work better. I'm glad that she accommodated my request, despite stating nowhere in the post that such a request could be made.
And now for the fun part!~ Pictures~ Note: I have slightly increased the contrast in these photos to look more true to life. The only unedited photos are the close-up shot of the lace and the worn picture, as those had better natural lighting. Sorry for the poor quality cell pics!

The adorable packaging!

Such lovely details.

Why can't all business cards be this cute!?

Here is the collar after I took it out of the package.

This is the collar worn. Sorry, I just threw it over the clothes I was wearing that day lol
This is a closeup of the lace. Each section alternates between a light beige color and a pure white. This means you can coordinate it with a lot of different blouses ^^
I hope you found this review helpful.
