Yet another BODYLINE REVIEW!

...This review is really image heavy, and kind of long! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Hey you guys! I just received my Bodyline order today. Like everyone else I took advantage of BL's 1$ shipping fee.
After my year of being a sweet Lolita, I've been wanting to collect some Classic Lolita pieces! And with it being fall, I couldn't help but get some fall themed clothing. >u<; Browns suit fall wonderfully in my opinion. They remind me of the earth and hot chocolate! ♥
Anyway let's see how Bodyline did this time shall we?

SHIPPING

♥Order placed on: November 2nd
Order shipped out: November 4th
♥Order reached Canada: November 9
-It was held by customs for 6 days. x_x;
♥Order was delivered to my house: November 16 -Except I wasn't there to receive it. T_T
♥I went to pick up my package from the postal office: November 19

So all in all, my order took slightly longer to get to me then in my past experiences.
Even so, I only had to pay 1$. I didn't get hit with customs or anything since I marked down my order by 75%.
The package also came to me in really nice condition. Nothing mangled or out of place.

10/10 For shipping. As usual.

THE PRODUCT

(My apologizes for the camera quality...T_T; )

As you can see more clearly from the pictures at the beginning of this post, I got a two skirts, a cardigan, a hat, a headband, and bloomers.

It cost me about 120$ Canadian.

In case anyone is interested, here are the links to the items I purchased.

Firstly I'm going to be looking at this, the Cardigan and skirt combo.

As you may have guessed at this point, I went to the dreaded SEPARATE section of Bodyline to get this outfit! D: *Gasp*!!
Right where all the lace monsters, and horribly ugly dresses dwell. I saw someone else with this same outfit and I was baffled to find out it was there. Talk about diamond in the rough.

I bough the skirt x cardigan combo in 2L.

After only taking a single look at it, I instantly fell in love. The colours are GORGEOUS. My camera is being a bit deceiving, in reality the colours are a little bit lighter then this. A more honey brownish colour, they are true to that on the bodyline site.

The fabric quality is AMAZING, this is sort of weird coming from Bodyline. It's really soft and slick. I think it's fleece but I'm not 100% sure. The lace on the skirt is a beautiful creamy white,  it is thick and looks to be made out of wool. They even did a good job sewing it on. None of that overlapping the lace crap that I have experienced from them a few times.

Underneath the brown skirt part, is a really light creamy brown skirt part.
This fabric is pretty basic. A little bit stiff, but still nice to the touch.

There is also a shirring on the skirt.
This skirt fits me PERFECTLY, it's really comfortable. Not to tight and not to loose. I like how there isn't any ribbon or too much fuss on the back. It's something I can just slip on and be on my way.

There is also a zipper, for added convenience.

Now! Onto the cardigan!

The cardigan is made out of the same wonderful fabric, and lace as the skirt. My same opinion applied.

The inside isn't really too nice to look at...xD But what can you do.

I LOVE how the back looks, the sailor collar, the bow, and the overall construction is beautiful.

Even the sleeve is awesome! >:O
It fits nicely without clamping onto my arm, its a tiny bit lose, without looking lose. If that makes any sense. o_O

It also came with FOUR detachable bows! I honestly do not know where I'm going to put them all! xD ...But that's what makes it fun right? Customizing it! :3

It also came with this Barret. Which arrived to me very smooshed.
The Barret is cute, but too small. I could kind of fit it on my head without a wig, but with a wig it's impossible.

I could try to wear it buuuuuuut-

LOL. Makes me look a liiiiiiiiiitle bit too derpy. xD

I still like it though, so I will probably try puffying it out more and buy some clips I can glue to it and attach it to my head that way. It might work better if I do that.

Still, in the end it isn't a hat that one could wear easily unless your head is small.

THE BLOOMERS

When I saw these bloomers on the site, I had to have them. I've been wanting to have some bloomers that could possible peek out from under my skirts! ♥ (Not to mention I only have one other pair)

Though I must admit, I was a little bit disappointed when I first took it out of the package. It doesn't look a whole lot like the one on the site right?

The fabric is kind of stiff, and slightly see through. It's not irritating on the skin or anything, but I was expecting something a bit better. The lace however is nice, it's quite soft (the softest lace I've ever felt from bodyline) and is cute in my opinion.

Here is what it looks like on. I haven't tighten it yet.

It's really boxy looking. @_@; Lol.

This is what it looks like tightened.

Not a big difference, but it does look better then it did when it wasn't tightened.

The one great thing about them is how extremely comfortable they are! They fit like a dream!
But overall, I was expecting something a bit more. I wish the fabric was a bit thicker.

THE SKIRT

It seems like everyone and there mother owns this skirt, or the jsk version. (Though I have yet to see anyone have it in brown)
I can finally understand why! It's so... AWESOME. In real life the colours are quite vibrate, not to mention the print is freaking adorable.

Absolutely adorable! ...But what the heck is up with the weird printing job with the name..? Oh Bodyline...

This print looks perfect for the fall season if you ask me! I love the sketchy feel of the illustrations.

The bows are adorable and nicely construction. The lace is thick, and has a nice sheen to it.

The back of the skirt has a shirring and a zipper. If your like me, you will probably have to adjust this in order for it to fit.

The Flower Headband

Although it looks pink in this picture, it is actually a more beige colour. I bought this headband in hopes of wearing it with the previous skirt.

I absolutely love the headband. It's made out of nothing but LACE (except for the headband part.) Soft and silky lace at that.

o_O; Oh really now.

What it looks like on! It's bigger then I expected! ♥

;u; I absolutely adore it, not only for it's beauty, but also because the actually headband part doesn't CLAMP onto my head, which would undoubtedly give me a massive headache later. It fits on nicely.

MODELING THE CLOTHES

After analyzing every nook and cranny, it's time to try the clothes on, and see how they fit.

FOR ONCE IN MY WHOLE LOLI LIFE I FINALLY HAVE A SKIRT THAT GOES TO MY KNEES...IT EVEN PASSES THEM! ;u; ...
This is ground breaking stuff folks. (I'm about 5"6)
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! This skirt makes me so happy. I love how it looks! Finally something I can wear to College without drawing too much attention to myself.

YESS! Not only ONE skirt that manages to reach my knees, but BOTH of them do...TuT ...♥
The skirt is also pretty thick. Not so much that my petticoat can't hold it up, and yet not so light that it feels cheap.

(I tried a different hairstyle with the outfit. OuO; )

*Sigh* I feel so nice and cozy in these clothes!

CONCLUSION

Last time I ordered from bodyline, I wasn't exactly blown away. But this TOTALLY makes up for it.

SKIRT & CARDIGAN COMBO
9.2/10
♠ True to it's color
♠ Wonderful fabric and lace
♠ Great Construction
♠ The skirt is thick but not so thick that a petticoat can't hold it up.
♠ The skirt manages to reach my knees. (I'm 5"6)
- The hat is pretty much unwearable unless you have a really small head. Though I plan to attach hair clips to it.

BLOOMERS
7/10
♠ Really comfortable, and could probably fit just about anyone.
♠ The lace is soft, and of high quality.
- The fabric is stiff and a little bit see threw.
- Expected more for my money.

SKIRT
8.9/10
♠ The colours are really beautiful and vibrant.
♠ Great for the price.
♠ The print on the skirt is adorable, I love the illustration feel to it.
♠ Ribbions are good quality.
○The fabric isn't really soft, but it's not super stiff either. It's pretty much standard bodyline quality.
- A few printing errors were on the skirt.

HEADBAND
10/10
♠ It fits nicely and it doesn't look like I'll get a headache from wearing it too long.
♠ The construction is flawless! It doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon.
♠ The lace used is wonderful, it's soft, and silky.
♠ It's fairly big, so it won't go unnoticited.
♠ The colour is stunning.
♠ It goes perfectly with everything I bought.
♠ ...What more can I say? It's STUNNING! I could wear it even outside of Lolita.

Alright! Well that's it! Thanks for reading my super long review. (With all my cam whoring...Lol) xD
I hope you enjoyed! ^ ^;

Now time to run around in mah underrrweaaar! :D♥
