Once upon a time, when I was just a noob-lita aching for my first dress, I saw this, and it made my heart flutter:

2 years go, given the funds, I would've taken it in a heartbeat in the blue-white colorway. I was in love; the embroidery, the shape, the versatility, the color combinations! To my then untrained eye, it was beautiful. It was over 100 USD then, as it had just won a design contest and it was selling at a premium. Now it's on sale, and still there in my size, taunting me like an old ex that I should know better than to touch by now. Looking at it now though with some actual experience in the fashion under my belt, something about it feels wrong. I know F+F can be hit and miss. The huge chiffon on the bust, the embroidery AND the striping on the skirt, I can't pin-point it. It looks border-line cosplay to me, as F+F can often be, but my judgement is thrown loopy by old sentiments.
So, before I make a mistake, I ask the age old question. Is it too 'cosplay-ish'? Is it just really elaborate and my classic-oriented tastes are put off by it? Old love has be all sorts of confused.
