My First Lolita

Added the cut!

If I have somehow posted this in a wrong way the mods can fix that right? I'm pretty sure I don't need it to be "categorized" to post? If theres something wrong with my post, PM me or leave a comment (Also PM and comment about the content~!)

I just made a livejournal account and doing my first post... It's because I'm a poor university student who may only be able to afford bodyline Lolita (if I save!) and I wanted responses at some of the ones I have been looking at. I can't sew, but I could "edit" things (such as removing stuff, I saw a lot that had too many bows/buttons etc).

I have heard that cat ears is frowned upon but what if it was on a coat or something? Or should I not bother (I would get the coat anyways, just not for Lolita!) I like black and white lolita best, second would be black with print and third place is all black (except I feel like someone died, but I'm just not an "all black" person, just mostly black XD). I will buy my socks at Ardenes (Canadian only?) cuz they have simple ones with just ribbon or just lace etc. Probably the same with other accesories and whatnot.

My first "lolita" is a costume lolita (and i know it is!). Its drenched in ribbon and lace and its all black, I liked it but I find it doesn't "suit me" (as in, if I had a choice it wouldnt have so much lace and ribbons and wouldn't have been all black) I wouldn't mind an all black coat, however. I have black simple shoes that I bought second hand.

I am sorry my thought pattern jumps all over! I want to post some Lolita I like in the future from bodyline that I want to get, and how I should edit it. For now I'll just post a more immidiate list... If you think there is something better (but still cheap and fits my above stated tastes) then please let me know!

Here are some coats:

(cat ear one, yes I know  its 'punk' but i still like it, I just want to know everyone's opinion of it suiting lolita)

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=3513&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

(Would this be too punk? I like how it shows the skirt under neath rather than covering the entire outfit, I feel a lolita coat is to keep warm and be lolita style, not wear it by itself as lolita)

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=5022&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1
(I like this one since it has an opening on the front, to show the lolita underneath)

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=5696&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

(I like this, but I doubt it is enough to keep me warm, plus the balls are not to my taste)

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=5654&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1
(I don't like the bow, and it is a bit long, but I thought a second opinion would be good!)
I also wanted an opinion on this shirt (I like it because it has removable sleeves) but I was wondering if its "too much" (I would be taking the white one, I want to get all white petticoats, bloomers, socks and blouses, since I like black and white best)

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=5551&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

I decided if I'd get a JSK it'd be black with pattern so here are two I liked:
http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=6229&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=6212&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

I like strawberry, and chocolate and sweets. I also prefer pattern being at the bottom.

As for patterns, I also liked the belgian waffle design with this:

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=6078&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_7&noSubType=N
For dresses I had:

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=5322&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=4929&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

I like the removable sleeves ( love long sleeves but I don't like being warm)

I also dont like the "button up" on dresses and I don't like the ones with "collars" (I'm not sure why, I was also wondering if this is a lolita style or if it is because it is Bodyline?)

Here is the bloomers and petticoat I want (the petticoat is long enough(as in longer than the bloomers), not bad style and still cheap, the bloomers were the shortest ones so I want those)

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=4248&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_1

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct.asp?id=5162&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_2&noSubType=N

As for materials I don't like velvety ones for dresses/clothes and other than that I can't tell if materials/lace/ribbon is good quality or not! If I picked something really bad, let me know why! If there is anything that you think would 'suit my tastes' and is better lolita than the ones I have listed, please let me know.

PS I wear japanese school uniform styled clothes often and I love hardcore punk outfits as well, just couldn't afford those (Probably getting atleast one punk outfit from Bodyline) I have a few dresses (50-100$) from d-tox (they have an online store) incase anyone was wondering about my general style.
I am also curious were to find ouji/kodona and male aristocrat lolita? I know fans plus friends has that but it's so expensive! (which is why my budget is probably limited to bodyline) I have also thought about second hand lolita but I find that's like a mass auction and anything I would want would be gone (or second hand brand lolita is STILL too expensive!)

On a side note, I will be happy to tell stories of me wearing my lolita and peoples comments, since I wear "odd" clothes anyways XD. I carry a StupidFox plushie (google it!) around and no one asks about that because that's just how I am. Also, for myself wearing lolita I am going to get a long black wig for my Lolita and I have purple contacts (hoping to get more contacts soon) and I like headdresses and like bow/clips and MAYBE a cute clip on mini hat (I hate headbands!)

>_> I think that's all thats needed to be known about me so that people can help me get my first Lolita(s). I'm VERY excited.
