Dumb Bonnet Question

Hey guys! Bear with me as this is dumb question: How do I wear a bonnet?? I just made one for myself, well almost done with it. I need to tweak the ribbons but I'm not sure where it goes on my head. It is a half bonnet. Is it supposed to cover my ears? Thanks!
