Where would you draw the line in Lolita?

If this has already been discussed before, please tell me (( a link to the post so I can read it would also be nice )) and feel free to delete this.

So basically my question for all of you is, what would you be willing to sacrifice and where would you draw the line on your own personal Lolita fashion?

By this I mean, if your boyfriend or husband wanted you to stop wearing it, would you? Or would you just tone it down a bit? Or, would you do neither and keep wearing it as you always have?

Would you not be willing to work in a place where you couldn't at least wear a toned down version of Lolita?

What are the places where you think it is never acceptable to wear Lolita, if any?

Sorry for so many questions, but after reading a blog entry by Victoria Suzanne  (( EDIT - It's this one! http://www.parfaitdoll.com/2011/06/small-compromises.html )) about making sacrifices in Lolita it really got me thinking, where do you draw the line? Personally, I believe everyone should be able to wear whatever they love regardless of what anyone else thinks. I would only draw the line at wearing Lolita to funerals (( Unless the funeral was FOR a Lolita )) or wearing Lolita to work without the approval of your boss, but I'm curious as to everyone else's opinions on the subject and why you have that opinion, too.
