Mature sweet lolita?

In my experience when searching for more mature styles of lolita I am most often directed toward classic. This is great for me as I truly adore classic as I hope to wear lolita daily and it makes up most of my meager wardrobe. However, I've noticed a few sweeter items have managed to sneak their way in, usually in the form of carousel pony or unicorn prints. Fortunately I bought these sweeter designs in black so they're not too rainbow-cupcake explodey, but I still don't know if that's enough to still be able to pull off a more mature look?

So lolitas, any help? :) So far all I've managed to come up with is to keep the accessories to a minimum, stick to more classic and plain heels and keep the rest of the coord in black. Though I still worry that not only will this begin to look boring but with such cutesy prints the look will nevertheless remain somewhat childish.
