random possibly stupid maybe genious question!

I'm kind of newer in the whole lolita style, but i know that it would/most likely/could be very very hot to wear lolita in summer do to all the layers and everything. But i was wondering if wearing a hoopskirt under your petticoat/dress/skirt would make it a little more bearable? In my mind it would make sense because the hoopskirt would keep the layers of petticoats and everything off of your legs and allow them to breathe a little? so has anyone tried this? and if you have a better idea (because lets face it hoopskirts aren't exactly city scene prectical) i would love to hear it!
