Maybe you all will think I'm entirely insane, but I just saw this commericial today and I thought that at the very least it must be lolita-inspired.

If this is the case, how wonderful would it be for the lolita community?

In regards to this commercial being vintage inspired, it is certainly a possiblity, but most vintage manifestations appear in different, and often more subdued manners.  For this reason, I believe this might be the mainstream version of a lolita-like style rather than a vintage inspiration.  Tribal clothing in America, for example, looks far less like tribal clothing than like American clothing, and yet they call it tribal inspired.  I hardly expect one to see OTT lolita in this commercial, but I believe it could reflect America's interpretation.  This is just my opinion, however, and I would love to be challenged on it.
