A few weeks ago, I bought my very first pair of brand shoes on the sales comm. I've only worn secretshop shoes before because normally I'm not willing to pay so much for something that gets worn off and scuffed so easily. However I'm always very careful with my things and proud to say that my other shoes are still in great condition, even after decent use - the more shocking was the experience I had with that certain pair from Innocent World.
I bought them because they were rather cheap for brand shoes and the design was to die for. The previous owner said they were unworn. She sent them in their original Innocent World shoe box. (I'm also sure that they are not some kind of cheap replica to explain what happened, because they have the Innocent World logo printed in gold on the insoles and I have never seen them around as replicas in any form. The soles were clean and visibly unused, so I am sure the seller did not lie to me when she said she never wore them. I was the first person to ever wear these shoes out.)
After walking around normally(!) on the street for a day, total wear of about one and a half hours max. and being careful as always, this is what those shoes became:
I honestly have never seen something like that before. The white fabric looks like it was ripped off the soles, there are heavy wrinkles where the toes of the foot bend while walking and they have a wide black scuff. They look like I was attending a 4 days mountain climbing tour! Fortunately I didn't buy these off their website for their original price, but even what I paid for them is too much for the small amount of fun those brought.
I just can't believe that an expensive and established brand like Innocent World would release such a garbage. I own chinese shoes for 9$ and they are of MUCH better quality than these. Does anyone else have experienced very inferior quality with IW shoes, or could this be a manufacturing error? Is there anything I can do?
