Dream Of Lolita Gertrude replica JSK?

I've been thinking of buying the DOL Gertrude JSK, but I'm a bit worried about something. In the pictures, the fabric the dress is made of looks so terribly shiny! This is especially apparant in the black version, though i'm thinking about getting the one in cream. Does anyone own this dress and/or can tell me something about the quality of the fabric?
