Just thought the lolita community could give me more feedback on the subject.
I figured it was relevant, but if this needs to be deleted, my apologies and please do so.
BUT, I have a bit of a dilemma.
I am 20 years old and I am going to be a mom in the next few weeks. I've been driven crazy by my body and am still ecstatic to lose weight, mainly for loli purposes. Not quite a noble cause, but it is a motivating factor.
Anyhow, my birthday is also coming up, and I've been stalking online for dresses, thinking that I will want to wear new lolita things as I've been out of the loop for a while now with the pregnancy.
Here's the thing: On the other hand, my husband disapproves. He doesn't think it's quite appropriate as a mom with a baby to go out in lolita. Heck, he says he'd rather me go out in a belly shirt and short shorts than lolita while I have the baby.
I'm not quite sure how to cope with the this..
I mean, would it be inappropriate to wear lolita with a baby? Aside from the fears of ruining a dress due to natural baby stuff, I have a hard time dealing with his resentment for my frills.
I dunno..what's appropriate? Should I hang up the lace now? Should I only do "loli-inspired" outfits instead of usual coords? (I REEEEALLY don't wanna do that- That would defeat the point of my view on lolita)
What's the community view on it?
I'd like to hear some feedback.
