This is just something really sweet that happened to me while wearing lolita tonight.
I live in a small-ish town in Tennessee. We don't see a lot of excitement here and a lot of people can't really adjust themselves to things out of the ordinary. But tonight when I went out for a few last minute Christmas items a woman approached me. She was probably around her late sixties and she said to me "Miss, you look like an old fashioned Christmas cookie... Your dress is so beautiful and it reminded me of the things we wore when I was a little girl. It brought tears to my eyes. You made my Christmas."
A man with her who I only assumed was her son, in his Camo bomber jacket and trucker cap told me he was sorry if she embarrassed me but was glad that the two of them got to see me. He told me they way I dress was really "cool and unique" and it was nice to see an individual.
I nearly started crying right there in the store I was so touched by this.
Has anyone else had reactions that really touched them?
