I know that the fashion is influenced by many different era's in time, but as I look more and more into the fashion. I see that sweet lolita really doesn't have any thing to do with victorian style for example angelic pretty dresses are beginning to get shorter, i know that they don't have to be on the knee but i just think when I see many people wearing it i just think "i hope they don't need to bend down." I can see that it is influenced by the rococo period with the wigs. But the collars don't even go in any period....I know i sound like i'm complaining, i really love sweet Lolita i find it is the most un-victorian/ rococo. I know that fashion doesn't need to be accurate but teddy bears weren't invented until after queen Victoria died
Also I have noticed that many people complain about the "granny boots" but that's what Victorian woman wore daily.
am I the only one who thinks this, or am I just being stuck up?? I'm just wondering how every else feels. I am not trying to create hatred I'm just really interested and i do love looking at all the sweet lolita very much.
