Sombre Photography

Hello, EGL. I have recently taken some photos for my Digital Photography class, and since they feature lolita outfits I thought I'd share them with the community :). The first is a sombre photo, so I thought it'd fit well with the theme. In all of the following photos I am both the photographer AND model. Self-portraits are fun.

The last two pictures are supposed to have a Victorian look to them, with sort of a bored expression. I'm not sure if I was able to pull it off quite right.

This is my second year of photography. My first year, I shot with a manual camera and exclusively in black and white. Criticism is welcome, but please don't be too harsh as I am not very familiar with digital photography and Photoshop. The first picture is a silhouette, and the next two are supposed to be daguerreotype-esque, inspired by Charles Dodgson's pictures of children.

This is my favorite photo of the bunch. I shot it in black and white originally.

This and the following photo I shot in color, converted to black and white and put a sepia filter over. I'm not as proud of these because of the sheer amount of editing. The following picture is pretty much the same, but I'm not sure which one I like better. Opinions please?

Again, not sure if I like this photo or the one above it better.
