So for Taobao Spree,
Price: 5/5 their commission fee wasn't bad at all.
Response speed: 5/5
Patience with my stupid, sometimes pointless, questions: 5/5
I have absolutely no complaints.
Alright, now on to the clothing!
This is how the box looked before I opened it. It had a puncture mark on the top and bottom, but they weren't big and didn't affect the clothes inside because of how well they were packaged!
How the stuff was packaged inside.
The packing slip (I lol'd at how they marked it, but it was really nice of them).
Once I took the first couple of things out of the protective foam, they were packed in plastic as well! I'm very impressed by the packaging.
The first skirt unpacked. This one is from HMHM. It is a beautiful, soft velveteen type fabric. The quality is great and with the exception of a few loose threads, there were no flaws. I don't know if I'll be using the detachable bow on the waist though - it's gigantic!
This is the inside of the skirt. As you can see, there is an underskirt. It is rather flimsy, but it does it's job. The skirt is very comfortable to wear =]
Fit: 4.5/5 I'm so excited it fits, but it's actually a tiny bit too big.
This skirt is from Rose Melody. It is a bustle underskirt and I am not very happy with it. The quality is fine underneath all the awful shiny fabric, but I have no idea how I'm going to get all it off! I found a few loose threads... I really don't have much else to say about this skirt =[
Fit: 5/5 Fits great. It has a full elastic waist and is very comfortable.
Quality: 3/5 If I could get all that crappy shiny stuff off, it would be 4/5.
A-line petticoat from Classical Puppets. I am VERY unhappy with this. I paid for custom sizing and it is definitely not anywhere near the size I ordered. I couldn't even get it over my hips. It looks like it would be a fine light poof daily petticoat (if I were small enough to fit into it) and the quality is decent, but I will probably never order from Classical Puppets again.
Here's a closeup of the waistband.I measured it and it is 52cm minimum-90 at the absolute max. I custom ordered it for a 106 cm waist. -.-
Skirt from Rose Melody. I like the material this is made out of (velvet flocky material), but the shiny stuff strikes again! As you can see, the whole bottom of the skirt is edged in it...
And the back has it too!! D:<
Other than that, it fits a little bit loosely, just like the HMHM chandelier skirt, but I'm just happy that I can wear it.
More stuff from HMHM. These were packed inside the biggest plastic package with the black and gold squares on it.
HMHM skirt. It is sooo gorgeous in person. I love it! It fits the same as the other two, a little loose, but luckily...
It has a corset backing so I can adjust it! There are quite a few loose threads inside, but no glaring flaws.
And the grand finale is the coat I ordered from HMHM. I decided I wanted it a bit longer than most lolita coats so it hits a bit below my knee. The fit is pretty good except that the arms are a bit roomy, but that's probably a good thing if I'm going to be wearing a cardigan and long sleeved blouse underneath.
A closeup of the collar and the lace that was used (it's so pretty)! There are tiny black buttons around the inside of the collar so that you can button the fake fur to it (or button the cape to it).
The inner lining of the coat. It's really silky and comfortable, but I'm not sure how warm this coat will be. I think I'll have to layer under it a bit.
This is the matching cape and the fake fur that goes on the end of the sleeves and the collar of the coat. They also sent a spare button, which I thought was very nice =]
Overall, I got a pretty good deal with my haul. I think the cost ended up being around $500 for everything, which isn't bad considering that's the cost of about 2 new brand dresses. I wear lolita every day, so I just wanted some closet fillers until I can afford more. I am quite satisfied for now!
If you have any additional questions, please let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability!
