Anna House makes me feel...

So recently I ordered a skirt along with a petticoat, a blouse, and bloomers from Anna House, and I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed. I really like the quality, and the prices were really affordable, but the reason why I'm disappointed is the fact that I feel like an Ita while dressed in everything, mainly the skirt.
It's Black x White, and while I know that B x W doesn't automatically equal Ita, I sure feel like it. What do you think? How can I make it seem less "Ita-ish"?

And to clarify, I wasn't actually going out in this, I was just trying them on since they arrived :D
That's why I'm not wearing socks/accessories/and the like :)
