**Update #2**
School days are beating me down, but this is the final reminder for Saturday!
Here is the detailed info:
Sakura Matsuri 2010~
Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, 900 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225
When?
Saturday, May 1, 2010. 12:00 - 4:00 :
you are by no means required to stay with us for this long if you dont want, its just a general time for everyone ~
How do I get there?
By subway:
Take 2 or 3 to Eastern Parkway—Brooklyn Museum station; Q to Prospect Park station; 4 to Franklin Avenue; S shuttle to Prospect Park station.
If you'll be coming by bus, LIRR, or car, check the website for additional information: http://www.bbg.org/vis2/directions.h
It costs extra to park in the parking lot.
How much is it to get in?
* Admission to Sakura Matsuri is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors.
Where exactly are we meeting D:?
We will be meeting at the Eastern Parkway Entrance at 12:00 pm. PRECISELY AT 12:30 pm, we will be heading over to the Cherry Esplanade, where the main events of the festival are going to take place. So if you're late, you can just meet us there. Here's a map to guide you!
Link to map with numbered details.
Should I bring anything?
Blankets!
Please bring blankets! We will be sitting on GRASS, and it can be WET GRASS depending on the weather from the previous day(s). It also helps to bring a shower curtain to place underneath your blanket, this way the blankets wont become soaked from the grass.
Food!
Technically, the Gardens have a no outside food policy. Picnicking is not really allowed, but it seems they have relaxed rules for Sakura Matsuri since so many people are going to be there. So if you decide to bring food, please be discreet about it! Meaning, don't run up to the entrance with ten thousand sandwiches in your hand =) There will be food on sale there as well if you'd like some Japanese food, and the regular garden cafe will also be open.
What kind of events are there?
There are usually an abundance of performances that include Taiko drumming, Tea ceremonies, and Dances. Please refer to the website for additional information ^^
You can also leave our area and walk around whenever you like, the scenery is amazing and you should definitely take in the entire garden.
Is there a dress code?
Lolita obviously! Now I'm going to be a bit strict on this aspect. I.E. If you're going to dress up, go all out. Make sure your hair is clean and fabulous, if youre wearing a wig, make it tasteful. Wear appropriate shoes, and adorn yourself in beautiful pieces. Please come looking your best! We are there to represent style and help others become aware of how great we can dress, so please dress to impress! Yukata are totally welcome!
Tentative Guest List

Maybe attending:
Please leave a comment on if you would like to drop yourself from the list, and/or your guests.
If you have any questions/ comments/ concerns please dont be shy to comment below!
I look forward to seeing everyone!
*Edit*
If I find that anyone attends this meet (as in sits on our blankets, leaves their bags on our area, and mostly eats our food) without prior notification to me and isn't put on this list I will personally give you a mean face and have a select few of other lolitas to yell at you. Just sayin' :D
*Edit Edit*
I cannot stress enough that if you're bringing more than 1 friend, you are required to bring a blanket for both yourself and your friends! Please dont forget this...
