A recipe for making Strawberry and Cream cookies ♥ Perfect for the warm weather (^^)
1 cup of soft butter (or 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening to your preference ^^)
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 & 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3-4 white chocolate bars
5 fresh strawberries
☆ 1. First mix the butter/shortening until it has turned nice and creamy.
☆ 2. Sloowww~ly add the sugars, mixing the butter a bit at a time until it has completely blended.
☆ 3. Add an egg into the mix and beat well~!
☆ 4. Right now it will look kinda gross! But this is normal... Add the flour now, a little bit at a time and mixing well. When all the flour has been added and it has been mixed well, it should look a lot more appetizing n_n
☆ 5. Now throw in the salt, baking soda and two teaspoons of lovely vanilla ♥
Then put your mixture in the fridge for now.
☆ 6. Now time for the fun part :3
Get your bars of white chocolate and break them into chunks with your fingers while they are still in their wrapping. Leave these aside for the moment.
☆ 7. Now for the strawberries ♥ Delicious and nutritious!
Wash them thoroughly and take the stalks off.
Yes my nails are horrible right now OTL ;;
☆ 8. Cut them into cute little pieces ~ ♪
☆ 9. Now take your chilled mix back out of the fridge and throw in the white chocolate pieces and strawberries. Give it all a good mix!
Now leave to chill in the fridge for another 45 minutes.
☆ 10. When your cookie dough is nicely chilled, take it back out and prepare a tray with greaseproof paper. You can brush grease on it lightly to make the cookies stick less ^^
Use a tablespoon and drop two spoonfuls per cookie onto the tray. You need to leave a space of around 3 inches apart each cookie as they will grow in the oven O_O!
☆ 11. Bake at 350ºF/175ºC for 12-14 minutes. The cookies will be very soft when you take them out so be careful of breaking them!
Pull them out gently and leave on a rack to cool down.
This recipe should make around 8-12 cookies, depending how big you distribute the dough before you cook them ^^ (I managed to make 8 for this tutorial, but had to bake in two batches because they couldn't all fit in my oven.)
☆ 12. When they turn nice and cool, serve with a glass of cold milk and enjoy!
