I am back at art school, again, for a teaching degree/certificate. Let's face it, art school is messy. I have never worn Lolita out to school not because of the reactions I might get,(like I care) but more because I am taking classes that are stain makers. Sculpture and painting. I have no fancy brand things, all hand made and lucky finds here, but, I still like to protect them from any potential messes. So do you other art college Lolita's wear pretty aprons? If so do they get enough coverage over poofy skirts? Or do you save your frills for less messy occasions?
EDIT: So far it seems like for most of us art students it's a "Hell, no!" Except for mess-less situations.
So while I'm being nosy, what kind of Lolita artists are there around the Comm? What are you majoring in? I have a BFA From Maine College of Art in Ceramics. Ceramics combines mess+water+glaze+FIRE. Not good for Lolita at all!! No flaming skirts please!! I am now getting a BFA in art education, and am catching up on stuff I missed the first time around.
