While going Christmas shopping with my mother, we decided to head out to the local Starbucks near my home. I wasn't really in the mood for Starbucks but I went anyway, just to make my mom happy. She insisted I pick out something so I did look at the menu and occasionally I would look down at the goodies that are on the shelves and counter. That's where I saw it, two cases of Macaroons!
I decided to get it and here are some pics!
It seems to be made "exclusively" for starbucks, and on the top right hand corner you will see that it says "Made in France"
If you browse around the box, it will tell you the various flavors it comes in: Coffee, Pistachio, Raspberry, Chocolate, Vanilla and Lemon.
There are twelve in total, and on the back it tells you a small history about the macaroons and how wonderfully they were made. For those curious about the price, if you look at the bottom right hand corner of the image above it says 9.95 USD
So they seemed to have been shaken up a bit since they are not all facing the same direction and such, but none of them were harmed, and were in good condition. Overall, my favorite flavors would be Lemon, Raspberry and Pistachio.
They were pretty good. Although more bite sized than what we are use to.
I'm no macaroon expert so I'm sure someone else might have a different opinion, but It's just nice to know that Starbucks sells them, since Starbucks is a much more local shop than other stores and bakeries.
