boxers to bloomers :)

I found some ADORABLE boxers at target yesterday and i have been meaning to add to my bloomer collection (i only have 2 pair ^^;) so i figured i would turn them into bloomers. here is the end result! I'll write a little step by step on how i did it so you can do it too!

worn

before and after

step one: rip the hem at seams about 2" with the seam in the center. Make sure you do both on both legs.

step two. feed elastic thru the hem using it as a channel. make sure you go around the BACK of the boxers. You want them to gather on your butt side not your front.

step three. once you get the elastic thru to the other seam sew it on to the bloomer using the seam as a guideline on where to stitch. Then put the boxers on and pull the elastic tight until its comfy thru the other end. Saftey pin it in place to the boxers and take them off and sew it down again using the seam as a guideline. Then sew the hems back up.

you can stop here or add ruffles or lace. i'll add the directions for that later. its late and i have work in the morning!
