Of course, it happens when I have no disposable income whatsoever. So what is a girl who spent 2 years in fashion school and works as a journalist to do? Make her own clothes!
It's been a good 4 years since I've posted to this comm, and back then I wasn't sewing EGL stuff for anyone but my Dollfies.... so, here goes nothing!
This ensemble was completely inspired by oxxcyanidexxo's Angelic Pretty Miracle Candy skirt and Emily Temple Cute cut-sew hoodie (which you can find her in when she is running her Lolita's and Cream table at conventions across the US). In fact, she even leant me a necklace and hair piece from her line to accent my outfit. Lindsay, you rock!
The cupcake fabric for the skirt was purchased at Jo-Anns. It is fully lined, and with hand-pleated crinoline on the lining; constructed just like my Metamorphose skirt that served as the basis for this piece. It has a side zipper instead of a back zipper though.
The cut-sew top and bib were drafted from something carnet_atellier posted once upon a time.
The hoodie was designed and drafted entirely by me, lace hand-dyed, and all that jazz.

There are still some things I plan to add; such as bows on the sleeves of the jacket, detachable long sleeves for cooler weather, a bow on the back. I'm also going to add a small, clip-on bow with pearls on the skirt front, and one of those tie into a bow strips of fabric for the back.
