Massive TaoBao/Mashimaro_Girl review

Waaaayyyy back in late August, I ordered the carousel JSK from Rose Melody in Gold x white from mashimaro_girl . When september came by, I ended up adding a pair of the faux fur boots from Black Saint, as well as an AP bolero replica from Mashimaro's Lucky Mixi brand and double ribbon bag replica. Due to several delays on Black Saint's side due to the national holiday in October as well as Mashimaro's business trip to China, I didn't receive my package until yesterday.

After having to pick up the package from the post due to postman laziness (I'm assuming so at least), I couldn't help but notice the ridiculous amount of tape on the box. I guess that's what either Customs did to reseal the package or what mashimaro's shipping department did to protect the box. The box itself was a bit knocked up, making me slightly worried about my boots.

With the ridiculous amount of taping, I couldn't figure out how to open the box, so I just made my own opening. I was surprised how well they managed to fit everything into the box. However, the JSK seemed a bit wrinkled and squished when I saw it, and there was no stuffing in the boots to help them keep their shape.

Nothing seems to have been rammed into the box, so thumbs up to mashimaro_girl for packing everything so well. Anyways, to review the items themselves.

*dun dun dun* The boots
With all the bad reviews about the boots made by Black Saint, I spent the last week worrying that my boots would be a disaster. They actually aren't too bad, though the quality is quite a bit iffy. I gave the largest measurement of my calves, and I ended up overestimating it a little. It's still a tad tight. So if you order from them, just supply the circumference of the boot itself and you'd like, and not your calves.

There was no packing with the boots, so they were a little flat and wrinkly around the ankles, even when worn (though the wrinkling when wearing boots is normal? Am I wrong?) My toe is pushing against the end of the shoe, but it isn't too small. I've always have that problem with size 40 shoes for some reason (vs. size LL shoes.. I guess it's just the way it's shaped)
When I put on my boots for the first time, I had this random tuft of fur in it. It was probably part of the puff balls on the laces or something. :o Sorta weird how it's thicker than a lot of the fur I have... I guess they trim it. o_o;
The fur inside the boot isn't too bad, and doesn't shed a lot. The fur piece that was supposed to cover the front... was weird? I dunno. It doesn't shed that much for me though.
There were also these bow straps. Due to the shape of the hook where you tie it on, it's really hard to put it on, but this is what the boot looks like with the fur and straps on.
Looks decent from the front, but really weird in the back. :\ I don't think I'll be wearing my boots this way any time soon.
One of the boots seems to be a bit off center, and it could look awkward if looked at closely. It doesn't affect that comfort of the boot that much though. Another little pet peeve is the fact that the zipper pull hangs out whenever I wear it since the zipper doesn't go to the top for a wear reason. It does make putting them on a bit easier, but it doesn't look exactly that pretty I guess.

Final verdict? I guess I wish there was a bit more quality, but you sorta get what you pay for. Quality isn't too bad, and I probably can wear these all day, but I do wish I knew to submit a larger calf measurement. Also, these boots held up my entire order, so I hope that Black Saint is able to stay on time in the future. I don't plan to order from this seller again due to the wait times some boots of such quality, and I'll probably opt to pay more for something better.

Quality: 2.8/5

BTSSB Double Ribbon Bag Replica
The bag seemed a bit bent when I first took it out of the package since it was probably squished in the box. However, the bag is made of thick PU, and seems pretty durable, so there were no wrinkles when I took it out. The inside is spacious, and I really like it. It was around 25$ without shipping, so it was worth the money. The sides are a bit funny, and the way the hearts are sewn on is a bit weird, but other than that I'm really happy with it.
The inside is nicely lined, and is pretty accurate with the original. It have some side pockets as well as a zip pocket.
However, the bag was a lot bigger than I was expecting it to be. I can probably fit a few small ish books in it with space to spare of a pencil pouch and something. Here's a little comparison with Mobster the giant lobster. xD

Quality: 4.5/5

Lucky Mixi Bolero
I got this bolero to my measurements for pretty cheap.. I think around 25-30 dollars. It's okay quality, and is literally you get what you pay for. The lace is pretty good quality, but the sewing is a bit iffy in my point of view. Apparently I lost some weight during these last few months so it's a little big on me now. ;;;
It has pockets! I'm not too sure how much weigh they can take though...
Quality: 3.5/5 It's worth the price though, seeing that it was made to my measurements and such.

Finally, my favorite part of my order...
Rose Melody Carousel JSK

I got this in white x gold. The JSK itself isn't fully accurate with the picture you see on taobao though... Maybe that was the case for me? I really don't mind... I actually like this cut better. It might have to do with my measurements though. It's a bit wrinkly due to the packaging. >_>
The print is gorgeous! It contrasts a lot more than I expected it to. :) I really really like it.
For some reason though, they gave me two extra detacheable bows as well as the two connected by a pearl strand. I'm probably using them as a headbow.
They also had care tags in english! How nice of them :D
The only really annoying thing is the zipper choice, but I can't do much about it. The fabric isn't that stiff, and that's probably what makes it hard to zip up...

Quality: 5/5
Finally, here's me wearing everything I bought from Taobao. I ended up accidentally making myself a pseudo coordinate with the items. Who knew... Sorry for the mirror pic. I just came home from school and didn't have time to set up the self timer on my camera.

mashimaro_girl is a pretty good shopping service. However, I had a couple of communication problems with them, partially because of the fact that I wasn't informed that they were going on a trip to China. I wish I knew about it beforehand. However, they were very helpful whenever I asked them questions. It would be great if they emailed me with updates, rather than me emailing them asking for the status on my order.

Communication: 3/5 I wish they emailed me instead of having to constantly email them for updates. However, I also understand that they were in China.
Shipping: 4.8/5 The JSK and Bolero were pretty wrinkled due to the way they were packed. :( Otherwise, shipping was quick and I got a tracking number.
Overall Experience: 4.5/5 Though there were a couple of kinks with my order, mashimaro_girl was extremely helpful and patient and I'll probably order from them again. :D
