Milanoo Review!

Review for Milanoo

www.milanoo.com

So, there was a post about the site milanoo.com some time ago. That got me interested. I followed the link and looked at all those dresses. Apparently it became clear that this company uses not their own photos of the products. They use pictures from Baby, Innocent World, Meta and so on and just crop them out and put them on their own background. As we all know, that’s never a good sign and we’re supposed to stay away from those sites. However, the lady who made a review about a skirt she ordered seemed quite pleased for the price she got it and the item that I wanted had free shipping. So I decided to give them a try!

I ordered this dress http://www.milanoo.com/Sleeveless-Lace-Lolita-Dress-p7696.html

Process of Ordering

For shopping at milanoo.com you don’t need to have an account. It could be useful to track your orders and their status but I did not want to create an account. I just ordered the dress without the account and because it was over the amount of 50$ I was able to get an usb-stick (2GB) for 1,99$ packed into my parcel. I promptly paid by paypal and there were no problems.

Rating: 5/5

Confirmation/Communication

Milanoo send me an email saying that my order will be processed and that everything’s alright, the same day. Only some days later I got the tracking number for my package. Unfortunately the paypal account belongs to my boyfriend, therefore he got all the mails and because he’s so super clever, he deleted all of them after reading…that means I couldn’t track my parcel. But if you’re smarter than him you should be able to do that xD

I also asked them something before ordering and they responded within two hours – really fast!

Rating: 4/5 (only because I cannot tell if the tracking number was right, etc)

Shipping

On the site it says 7-9 till your parcel will arrive at your home.

I purchased the dress on the 24th of July and it arrived here on the 7th of August. That’s a bit more than 9 days but totally acceptable.

The contents were wrapped into a plastic bag and that bag was wrapped into another plastic bag xD

Nothing got damaged and they also marked the value from 53$ down to 10$ and wrote gift on the EMS billing.

Rating: 4/5

The Quality – compared to a dress from Angelic Pretty

First of all I have to say that they did not ship everything I was supposed to get!

On the site it says:

“Description: This dress features its white lace.A ribbon bow adorns the front dress. The price includes the dress, the blouse and the underskirt.”

Yep, I got the dress, the blouse, a small black “tote bag” from Milanoo and the usb-stick. But where’s the underskirt? I cannot find it >_>

The fabric is a bit thin, but it’s okay. It’s not see through at all. The lace in the middle of the dress is good, other than the lace used at the bottom and at the top. It’s raschel lace (I guess?) but it’s not scratchy. It’s soft, but a little, little bit shiny. Furthermore the lace in the middle is more of a cream white, a bit darker, than the raschel lace. Everything is sewn nicely.

One problem is that the blouse is misshapen, which means that it’s very unflattering for me. Another strange thing is the fact that there are some green lines on the inside of the blouse. They’re not visible from the outside but they could have removed them after finishing sewing.

Compared to an AP dress, the quality is okay – good. The fabric they use could be compared to the ones that Anna House uses, but it’s a little bit thinner. Moreover Anna House uses better lace.

FYI: The usb-stick works flawless :D

Rating: 3/5

So all in all, I would say the dresses with little or without lace can be a good deal for the money you spend but I would stay away from lace-monsters. In addition I would also only go for the ones with free shipping because I think with the 20$ for shipping it’s too much that you pay. (Maybe I just think so because I’m a stingy person).

Because I hated the lace at the bottom and the lacing at the front, I removed it today.

….and finally, here are some pics!

Thanks for your interest and have a nice day!

Hope I could help anybody with that review. (I'm off to a party now!)
