Situation #1: One person is first-in-line and shows interest in an item. However, they can pay half now and the other half in a few days. Another person, second-in-line, also wants the item, and can pay the total in full immediately. I decided it was fair to give the item to the second person in line. Do you think that was the correct decision? It was only a few-day difference, and it wasn't like I needed money IMMEDIATELY, but I felt at the time that it made more sense to accept payment from the person who could pay right away.
Situation #2: One person is first-in-line for an item, and asks if I can lower the price a bit. I think about it, and ask if they would be willing to pay X price. Right after that, another person (second-in-line) offers to pay full price right away. I informed the person first-in-line that someone is willing to pay full-price right now. Then the first-in-line person says they can pay full price. So who should get the item?
I'm sure I could come to a conclusion myself on both of these, but I thought it would be good to offer this up for discussion, in order to help not just me but other sellers who have been placed in such situations.
