If you've ordered from Bodyline in the past year or so, you have, without a doubt, encountered the wonderful courier service that is DHL. Not only is their shipping expensive as heck ($25 shipping on an $11 skirt, anyone?), but DHL thinks it's really cute to slap you with customs fees months after you've placed an order-- and then charge you for not paying said fees. Their shipping may be speedy, but EMS is just as fast, and costs far less even with customs fees.
The time has come, I think, to do something about it. Personally, I'm tired of their ridiculous fees.
There is, unfortunately, only one of me, and I don't think I can do much. But if everyone in the community who has ordered, is currently ordering, or will order from Bodyline speaks up, I think we might be able to make them change. So here are the things you can do:
1. Write an e-mail.
It may seem simple, but if you just send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org letting them know how you feel about DHL, there's a good chance they'll listen. Things to include in your e-mail:
- Why you dislike DHL's service
- What service you would prefer to see (EMS or SAL, or whatever else you can think of)
- A note stating that you won't buy from them until they offer other shipping options (if you intend to do so)
2. Boycott Bodyline
This one is also fairly easy. Just tell Bodyline that you won't order from them until they change their shipping service, and then proceed to do so. I know that this may not sound feasible to a lot of girls, but even if only 40 or 50 of us get together and stop ordering from Bodyline it will have an impact, and will make them see that we're serious about wanting other, more cost-efficient, shipping options. If Bodyline is your main source of lolita, please remember that there are other, equally inexpensive options (TaoBao sellers, Anna House, Fan + Friend... there's a whole list of cheaper lolita manufacturers in the memories, and many are just as low in cost as Bodyline!) that you can opt to use, and that you'll be saving yourself money in the long run if they opt to offer cheaper alternatives like SAL and EMS.
Thanks for reading, and I hope that everyone who's ordered from Bodyline will at least e-mail the company and let them know that we aren't satisfied with their business practices
