So let's fight that ridiculous stereotype with a...
♥ Love Meme ♥
I've seen this done on several (i.e. TWO) comms I follow, and I thought this would be a great chance for us to show some positivity.
♥ But how does a Love Meme work?
In the comments of this post, you can express your unreasonable love and devotion to any specific brand (AP, Meta, Baby...), print (Sugary Carnival, March of Ducks, Marie Antoinette...), person (designer, or just someone you know and admire), or general aspect of the style (petticoats, bloomers, what have you). Any one else who agrees with you replies to your comment with MOAR LOVE! This creates an endless cycle of beautiful love (and whatever other cheesy sentiments you can tack onto that).
♥ I still don't get it. Example?
How it works:
COMMENT: I love Meta! They are always different from other brands and I find that refreshing and exciting!
REPLY: I even like their tube tops!
REPLY: My first brand piece ever was from Meta <3
COMMENT: I love [insert user name here]~ She always has such original coordinates and she is sooo cute!
REPLY: She inspires me to be a better lolita!
REPLY: She inspires me to be a better PERSON!
How it doesn't work:
COMMENT: I love Meta! They are always different from other brands and I find that refreshing and exciting!
REPLY: Seeing stuff by Meta makes me die a little inside because they use cheap lace.
REPLY: I don't even consider Meta brand.
COMMENT: I love [insert user name here]~ She always has such original coordinates and she is sooo cute!
REPLY: Her coordinates have too much deco and not enough lolita.
REPLY: Her nose is big and she is ugly.
♥ So that's it?
Yeah... as long as you don't create wank or hate, or do anything illegal, you're good to go!
