I'm doing a project for my university's surveying folklore class
First off...This is not a basic research paper. It involves opinions and stories, not just the typical "How do you feel about this" The quotes I need are not one sentence happy quotes full of information, they are actual quotes of times you remember from meetups, maybe how you felt your first time wearing lolita, possibly even what you thought of the other lolita girls.
I am not here to start problems, I got frustrated, but please lets put that behind us.
I can't find the answers I need by searching the history or memories of the site because I need firsthand accounts, that I don't need you to provide through comments, but through email or conversation, and I need your information for the archives, which is unsafe to provide through comments on a livejournal.
For this class, I am writing a HUGE paper defending lolita as a folk group, instead of just an interest in a fashion trend (such as being interested in hip hop fashion as opposed to being interested in hip hop culture...).
I'm really hoping you all could help me, by telling me stories about silly happenings at meet ups, what is typically done at a meet up, ways you store your clothing, certain dressing habits, or things you do when getting ready to go out in lolita, and possibly clothing maitenence.
If any of you could send contact information (emails, phone numbers, anything) to me to get some stories, or if anyone in Indiana or central illinois would like to meetup somewhere, I would appreciate it SO much! This paper is really important to me, and the information I collect will go into one of the largest open folklore archives in the midwest! Not to mention it is the first paper ever done on lolita /
Thank you so much in advance!
Edit: This is the first paper done on lolita being introduced into these archives. I'm aware it's not the first paper ever! haha. I've seen all the amazing things written on lolita for publications, and people asking questions for papers they were writing...
