My bf got a new camera! He was a happy as a little girl <3
Being South Florida with our flexible definition of time, we began at 3 but everyone trickled in slowly over the next couple hours. So we got started without them XD
EDIT: One attendee wishes to remain anonymous =( I'm sorry
May I recommend the strawberry tart?
My bf makes a convincing French gentleman, oui? (we had a French theme going on)
mistressmousie just scored an internship at Disneyworld to further her baking/chef training! Congrats girl! She's our resident chef loli.
This pic almost got us in trouble! One of the ladies working there reprimanded us for taking pictures because we might be trying to steal the artwork off the walls and reproduce it =o
When Ms Anon and I realized we had matching shoes, we did a little comparison. She has the authentic Baby heart buckle shoes and I have the Bodyline replicas. Here are our two right feet-- hers is to the bottom/left and mine are above/right. They are remarkably similar.
One initial problem with my shoes is that they are a full size too big! My foot measures about 24cm and I wear a 7-7.5 in American shoe sizes so I ordered a 24.5 from Bodyline. But these measure 25cm on the inside and are pretty wide-- nothing that a few strategically placed insoles can't fix however. So the differences we found were:
- The shape of the toe area on Bodyline's is a little more bulbous
- Height of platform on Baby's is a little higher
- Bodyline's have a bit of a pink/warmer hue vs. Baby's are a little bluer/cooler
- Bodyline's are shiny white, Baby's are matte
- The heart buckle on the Baby one is matte silver
- Section I pointed to in pic (on toe portion) is a little longer/wider in the replicas
- Materials are better on Baby version
This last point is key-- once I got home I noticed 4 distinct scuff marks on my shoes-- and I am really gentle with my stuff. When I tried to rub them out, I scratched at them with my fingernail and it seemed like I might scratch off the shiny surface of the shoe itself! So they don't seem durable at all =/
So now the ladies who banned us from taking pictures while we ate wanted to take pictures with us at the front of the store... gawd
We pwned this mall
So we hopped over to Tate's -- it's a big comic-anime-art-book-magazine store that has the occasional lolita-related item.
And then off to karaoke! We had so many good singers- we need to make a lolita band! It's box style for privacy *cough* I think we scared the owners...
I apologize in advance to keeki_hime for this pic! Another lucky girl-- she's flying to Japan right now to study abroad for a semester! We'll miss you!!
After 3 hours of karaoke we could take no more! I had a great time girls!
Outfit rundowns-- since this was a pretty casual meet I don't have exact details so I'll list what I know-- ask if you're curious ^^
