Here be some holiday photos!
Eh, what's up, doc??
Sorry, I had to start off with a Wonder Rocket's clothes dummy! Wonder Rocket, for those who don't know, is a clothing shop that has two outlets at Takeshita-doori, Harajuku. Their clothes are not loli but still very pretty and wearable! And plus they have freaky life-sized bunny mannequins which is already a win in my books.
And of course, no Tokyo loli shopping trip would be complete without repeat trips to various Closet Childs. We hit all of them in the Tokyo area, Ikebukuro, Harajuku and Shinjuku! My favourite is still Harajuku's Closet Child for variety and the three levels of sheer gothic lolita goodness.
How to find Shinjuku's Closet Child. Just walk towards the Epson Building by coming out of the West Exit entrance at Shinjuku Station!
We then went over to the newly shifted Marui One which was previously Marui City (I think). In any case, the rori shops are no longer at what was known as Marui Young. They shifted to Marui City which was renamed Marui One. OIOI is everywhere...
Hmmm, I guess the new place is bigger and just slightly more spacious than the old location at Marui Young. The shops are mostly the same and also located on the topmost levels of the building, BtssB, Angelic Pretty, Meta, Atelier Pierrot/Boz, Alice Auua, Kera Angel that carries Innocent World, Victorian Maiden and Mary Magdalene. Moi-Meme-Moitie's shop is gone though (much to yueqian's sadness) but they have combined with Kera Angel so you can still get MMM things at Marui One.
Emily Temple Cute and Jane Marple shifted to the lower levels. Emikyu is on Level 3 or 4 and Jane Marple is one level above them. And Jesus Diamante (for hime-gyaru fans) is at the mid-level.
And what I like a lot about the new Marui One is that they now have a Girl's Room on the same floor as the rori shops! Girl's Room is basically a section of the floor that's a rest area. But they did it up so prettily! With mirrors, couches and a fake bookcase even, hahaha. Plus vending machines to slake one's thirst. Very thoughtful!
Then I snuck some pics of shop fronts from the rest area. I know taking photos of the shops is frowned upon but they didn't say we can't take a few subtle ones from the rest area, right?? *coughs delicately*
And we took the opportunity to snap some pics of ourselves at the rest area too (much to the amusement of the Meta shopgirls apparently). Meta shopgirls have always been one of my favourites among the different Japanese lolita shopgirls. They're always unfailingly sweet and so niiiice!
We also visited Christon Cafe as well at Shinjuku. It's just a short walk away from Marui One.
The main courses were alright, good but nothing spectacular. The desserts were the best! OMG, pure bliss~~
And we had fun with naked little cherubs (which sounds so wrong...) outside of the restaurant.
And here's some of our coordi shots during our holiday =D
Did I mention it was freezing in Tokyo in March?? yueqian demonstrates the wind-chill factor on a train platform.
aserett in a simply gorgeous Victorian Maiden dress.
In which I know I'm not strictly wearing loli but I like the Takarazuka costumes on display next to me, heh.
My dream dress! lol!
And combined haul photos between the three of us from just Day 1 and Day 2. Temporary insanity, oy vey...
