My first try....

So despite the fact that I am a guy and not a drag queen and will never wear any of the things I will make I have decided to make Lolita clothing.  this is my first try....

Because it looked to be the easiest thing to make I started with the lolita headband

basic oval.  I started by sewing this lovely rose print quilters fabric I found at Joann's to a piese of stiff felt (my first mistake).

I was going to go with a single line of ribbon down the center with little roses sewn to them but decided that that would be to many roses so I went with these little bows instead.

it is hard to tell but I used this quilting technique I saw where they sew a visable line in crazy lines all over the fabric.  I believe in quilting it is used to secure the fabric the batting but I thought it looked nice so I thought I would give it a try.

So any comments?  Any way I can make it better?  Any ideas for future headbands? I am open to ideas.  Plus since I do not have any Lolita friends whoever wants this lovely headband may have it.  just message me and we will set it up.
