Rose Chocolat Problems and Review of Service

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I emailed Rose Chocolat about ordering a single pair of custom sized shoes as they now carry my size in at least one style of their shoes. They said that wouldn't be a problem and I filled out my order and made my payment. I knew through reviews and questions here that they take much longer than they state on their website to process orders, especially for custom sized shoes so I tried not to be impatient.

The problem came when I received one of their automatically generated emails saying that my order had been canceled. I immediately went to check the status of my order on their website and there was nothing there under my order number. I emailed them to find out why my order had been canceled as I hoped it was a typo. It wasn't and through many back and forth emails they still had not given me any explanation or a refund.

In the end I had to open up a PayPal dispute with Rose Chocolat to get a refund and I never got an explanation as to why my order had been canceled in the first place.

Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone else tried to order custom shoes and received them? I'm just curious to know if I'm the only one who's had this problem and wanted to alert other potential Rose Chocolat buyers to this incident.
