back of dress
fresh out of the shower so i didn't bother including my messy hair and head haha.
You thought i got that terrible purple didn't you.
No, I requested light blue fabric, matching ribbons (which do really MATCH very very well I think) and white lace and had it made for my measurements.
When I got the dress I was so scared it would be a hideous sack dress, and it did look rather SQUARE and boring in the bodice til I put it on. It is unlined, but all the seams are well finished. The fabric is sturdy but light, probably cotton. The lace on the bottoms and edges of the dress looks like a crocheted cotton lace, very small which i like, andthe other lace is really soft but probably polyester. The skirt is VERY full which I'm pleased with, but it goes past my knees. And I'm 5'7. It's HUGE. The thing destroys my petticoats. I'm wearing TWO double layer industrialkitty petticoats in that photo. One just gets lost in there. I'm so happy to have a dress or skirt that actually covers my knees a bit, but I hadn't bet on the petti problem. I should mention I did NOT request the skirt that long, I just told them ym height and that's what I got. So if you have specific lengths in mind I would tell them
I put my order in sometime around August 4th and never really inquired after that since I knew they were slow. The package was at my house by the 22nd (maybe earlier, I was at college before then). I can't say anything about their communication because I simply had none, but I didn't mind it.
Now, as for the dress, The front does have, yes, kind of boring lace up ribbons. I want to add something to embellish the front a bit. Does anyone have any good ideas? I kind of want to take the corsetting off but it looks even plainer otherwise.
If anyone else has specific questions go ahead and ask! Hope I can be of help
