January's theme is Wardrobe
It's that time of year again to show off your lolita wardrobe! Feel free to share with the community what you have in your closet - whether it be every single item you've had after being in the fashion for years, or your first piece of lolita that you just picked up! Either way, the EGL community looks forward to taking a peak inside your wardrobe. If you don't want to make a whole post dedicated to your clothes, feel free to comment on the monthly theme post here!.

The Tea Party Club is the UK's oldest and biggest lolita community.  Each year we celebrate our birthday and each year our birthday events keep on getting better and better.  In 2012 The Tea Party Club hosted Juliette et Justine's director and head designer Mari Nakamura and Gothic and Lolita Bible - this was the first time Juliette et Justine had attended an event outside of Japan.  In 2013 we hosted Frock On!  The biggest lolita convention in Europe, we were super honoured to host a multidtue of indie brand designers from around the world as guests including Hitomi Nomura of Grimoire.

This year The Tea Party Club is proud to anounce that Metamorphose temp de fille will be our main guest for our 7th year Anniversary.  The anniversay runs over two days - Saturday 20th September and Sunday 21st September.

And send it to teapartyclub@ymail.com

That's it, that's everything - we still have a few tickets left.  More event info can be found here and you can buy tickets here but feel free to comment or PM me.

Each year lolitas travel across the world to celebrate our anniversary with us - Australia, Chile, USA, Canada and all over Europe and we would love for you to join us and Metamorphose this year.
See you there!
16th-Jul-2014 08:58 pm - Go!Daiko-con 2014
Hi, it's been a while since I've posted, what with school being crazy and then a big vacation...anyway! In Pontiac, Michigan, there is a smaller anime convention entitled Go!Daiko, and I wondered if any of you were going? If so, we should plan a meetup! Warning, I will probably be in casual lolita, as I desperately need a new petticoat, so please bear that in mind. Here's the site if any of you are interested. It runs from August 1-3, and I'll be there the last two days. http://godaikocon.com/

Hello everyone!
My name is Sarah, and I am one of the directors for Dream Fantasy Theatre, a non-profit corporation dedicated to hosting fun, safe, and educational alternative fashion events. Our company is entirely staffed by unpaid volunteers, and every cent of every donation/ticket sale goes towards the events we host. Next year we will be hosting a Lolita Fashion Conference in Orlando, Florida, at The Castle Hotel on December 5-6, 2015.
Right now we are doing a pre-sale of discounted weekend passes, VIP passes, and vendor passes + table spaces so that we can raise money to have the event. In just over a day we have already reached our first fundraising goal - which means that the event is 100% going to be happening!
We are now working on reaching our second fundraising goal and are already over halfway there!! With your help, we will be able to pay for the convention rooms, provide entertainment, and keep our boutique open for a second day! If this at ALL interests you, please share this event with your friends and visit our storenvy fundraiser shop to purchase your ticket! The prices are lower than they'll ever be in the future, and everyone who donates or purchases a ticket during the pre-sale will have advanced access to securing a room from our room block, and advanced access to Masquerade Tea tickets once they become available!
We also have sponsorship packages available at extremely competitive rates for those who are interested in that option!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! You can find out more information about our organization and events through our website and social media accounts.

26th-Feb-2014 12:52 pm - Quick question about shoes
I've got a con coming up, and while I've got my shoes ready to go, I'm afraid of what hours and hours of walking around will do to my feet. Is it okay to change to appropriately colored flats to avoid blisters? Is there a way to pretty them up to avoid being called an ita? Do I cover my feet in bandaids and just tough it out? I know ballet flats are looked down upon by the community, but 16+ hours on one's feet can become agony.
A Chipmunk
Since the Maryland and DC communities have moved to facebook and a number of people visit for conventions from out of state, we just wanted to post a public list of lolita related events, panels and artists in the AA at Katsucon for those who are coming from out of state.
